What is iParticipateNH?
iParticipateNH is a revolutionary state-wide project led by Deborah Sprague, producer/host of Volunteers in Action a Concord TV production, that will highlight volunteer opportunities, specific needs in the community and resources to get started so residents can make a difference in their communities. Each partner has a unique perspective but the ultimate goal is the same – promote volunteerism and share information about programs and services – all in an effort to make our communities more sustainable and stronger.
How do iParticiapteNH?
Organizations Should:
- If you need volunteers, post those opportunities with VolunteerNH by visiting their website. Volunteers looking to do service go to VolunteerNH to find that perfect fit! In addition, other National initiatives such as iParticipate, Create the Good and Serve.Gov, also pull from this same database source – so you will benefit from a larger audience.
- Get Social and spread the word about the iParticipateNH’s blog, Facebook and Twitter to create a NH online community that celebrates and collects the stories, photos and video of volunteers. (Go To: Get Social)
- Recognize your volunteers for their service by nominating them for the Spirit of New Hampshire Awards and the New Hampshire Volunteer of the Month Award at VolunteerNH.
Everyone Should:
- Volunteer, it’s as easy as going to the iParticipate website and search by zip code for an opportunity that fits you. Even if you only have 5 minutes or 5 hours you can volunteer using one of the DIY Toolkits at Create the Good – take it to the community and create your own community service project.
- Get Social and spread the word about the iParticipateNH’s blog, Facebook and Twitter to create a NH online community that celebrates and collects the stories, photos and video of volunteers. (Go To: Get Social)
- Sharing your story/experience on Facebook and Twitter is so important, it will inspire others to iParticipateNH too AND it will help your favorite organization, that you volunteer for, become better known.
